Classic Album Review: “From Under the Cork Tree” by Fall Out Boy

Even after 10 years of producing music, Fall Out Boy has managed to hold onto its popularity. “Uma Thurman” debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs during January, according to Billboard. If the classic album, “From Under the Cork Tree,” were to be released today, chances are it would be just as successful as it was 10 years ago. An interesting fact about the album — the song “Our Lawyers Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued” was supposed to be titled “My Name Is David Ruffin And These Are The Temptations,” according to Song Facts. The song was a warning about the trappings of fame and referenced the band The Temptations. The Temptations had a member named David Ruffin who tried to add his name to the title of their band. Ruffin was not as popular as he thought, and he was fired from the band and later died of a drug overdose.
